Private Security

Legion Corporation is hired by Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. to provide supplemental security services in Downtown Santa Monica. Safety team members respond to non-emergency calls between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. The safety team responds to calls related to the following:

• Anti-social behavior 
• Aggressive panhandling
• Sleeping/lying on the street, sidewalk, or alley
• Disturbing the peace
• Suspicious activity

 For Emergencies always call 911.

Ambassador Program

Downtown Santa Monica ambassadors can be recognized by uniform and are trained to:

• Provide information, directions, and general assistance to visitors and employees
• Escort visitors and employees to their vehicle
• Aid visitors with vehicle trouble
• Work with the Santa Monica Police Department to locate lost items
• Identify and assist individuals in need of social services
