Ice at Santa Monica is thrilled to have The Randy Gardner School of Skating providing lessons with experienced professionals for skaters of all skill levels. Designed and presented by U.S. and World Pair Champion Randy Gardner, the school of skating offers an on-ice program for the recreational skater to the more seasoned skater, as well as those who would like to have private lessons in a pleasant and easy atmosphere.

Creator of the Randy Gardner School Of Skating; member of the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame; five-time U.S. Pair Skating Champion with Tai Babilonia and World Pair Champion; two-time Olympian; producer, director and choreographer of skating shows worldwide; and member coach of U.S. Figure Skating and Professional Skaters Association – Category A.
Lisa learned how to skate on her backyard frozen pond at the age of three. She has over 20 years of teaching and competitive experience with all ages and abilities, including English language learners, children with special needs along with six consecutive seasons at Ice at Santa Monica. Lisa's competitive experience includes Master Junior National Showcase Silver Medalist, three time ISI World Champion and four time Southwest competitor. Currently competing at the Platinum level, she has worked under the tutelage of Randy Gardner for the past 10 years.
National, International and World Junior medalist in singles and pairs; World Junior Bronze Medalist in pairs; U.S. National Collegiate Champion in singles; National Champion of Taiwan in singles. Jennifer teaches first time skaters to elite level competitors and has 15 years of coaching experience. She holds an elected position as a member of the Athlete Advisory Committee for U.S. Figure Skating.
With 25 years of teaching experience, Heather has been a U.S. Open Professional Challenge Cup Champion, a USFS Freestyle Gold Medalist and international coach and choreographer. She was also a soloist with the Ice Theater of New York.
Ben is a Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Ice Dance and a principal performer on the international ice show circuit. He has 17 years of experience teaching all ages and abilities.
At the early age of 3, Jackie fell in love with the ice. Always passionate about figure skating, she also is a professionally trained dancer in ballet, modern, and jazz dance. Jackie has over 20 years of skating experience and teaches skaters of all ages and levels. Jackie is a former U.S. Figure Skating (USFS) and Ice Skating Institute (ISI) competitive skater and skates professionally in a verity of shows throughout the United States. She is a member of USFS, the Professional Skating Association (PSA), and ISI, where she is a gold-certified level judge.
Randy Gardner School of Skating is offering group skating classes for all levels of skaters.
For the beginner, learn forward and backward skating, two-foot glides, curves, balance over the skates for safe and comfortable progression across the ice and basic coordination to give the feel of accomplishment and freedom while skating.
For the slightly more advanced recreational skater, learn how to go faster on the ice, turn from front to back with ease, basic stops, edges, two-foot or one-foot turns and basic fundamentals for a safe and enjoyable time on the ice.
