Official City of Santa Monica Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

Santa will make a special appearance for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting, where he will illuminate the official City of Santa Monica holiday tree. Enjoy live performances from Westside Ballet, Samohi Choir, Lincoln Middle School's Madrigals, AcaPali Choir, and SMC Emeritus Concert Band. After the lighting, Santa will take FREE photos with the public and make it snow! FREE RSVP

Gather around the tree every Thursday in December, through Christmas, for festive fun! Sip hot cocoa, shop local vendors, make holiday crafts, and enjoy a special performance by Toyland Brass Band. There will be "snow" and the Promenade will be decked out in its holiday best!

Hanukkah in Santa Monica

The programming start time varies by date, with most sessions beginning at sundown.
Celebrate the Festival of Lights during the Hanukkah season with nightly menorah lightings on Third Street Promenade. Each night is sponsored by a different group and features a different program.
