Join Marty Cohen as he presents his poems – it's as simple as that. Marty's poetry runs the gamut from funny to serious, quirky to political, introspective to rant. Marty has had over twenty poems published. He was drafted and spent two years in the Army, fortunately in Heidelberg, Germany instead of Vietnam. He loves dancing, and his favorite dances are West Coast Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Bolero. Now a retired engineer, he has spent the last five years learning improv, mostly at the Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica. He has appeared in six plays created via the Santa Monica Playhouse's Actors' Workshop ShortBurst® Theatre Project. Marty Cohen Presents His Poems is free as part of the BFF Binge Fringe Festival of FREE Theatre, your new BFF (October 15 – November 12) offering over 40 plays, workshops and family-oriented events thanks to generous grants from the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Arts Commission, Pearl and Bill Bordy, the Cotkin Family and Playhouse PALS. BFF events fill up fast, so get your free tickets by emailing education@SantaMonicaPlayhouse.com or calling 1-310-394-9779 ext 3 and then visit SantaMonicaPlayhouse.com for a complete list of events. Binge on Theatre this Fall – better than television any day!
