"It was wonderful! I hope we can do more!" says internationally acclaimed theatre artist Hillel of last year's special Yoga for Artists (and others) event. Enhance your self-confidence and tap into your charismatic self with this 90-minute yoga session, taught by actor-writer-director-guide Obi Ndefo. And it's FREE as part of the BFF Binge Fringe Festival of FREE Theatre – your new BFF – the third annual official Santa Monica Fringe Festival. Transform your semi-present body into a wildly free, dynamic and innovative presence and get a taste of what it's like to become imaginative and fearless. An LA native, Obi developed a passion for breaking new ground in the dramatic arts while working with the LA Theater Center, Mark Taper Forum, and Santa Monica Playhouse. He co-founded Orphan Films and Open Door TheaterWorks, wrote and directed the film Downstream, starring Eric Stoltz, has an active television career, and works with local artists of all ages to develop transformative projects. He has taught locally at Liberation Yoga and Easton Gym, in Connecticut at the Yale School of Drama, and at arts High Schools on both coasts. Obi is co-founder of Arts Alliance for Humanity. Yoga for the Artist is FREE for all (ages 16+) as part of the Third Annual Santa Monica Playhouse BFF Binge Fringe Festival of Theatre, October 15-November 12, offering over 40 plays, workshops and special family-oriented events – and all are FREE, thanks to generous grants from the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Arts Commission, Pearl and Bill Bordy, the Cotkin Family and Playhouse PALS.
