IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING COVID-19:
The Downtown Santa Monica Wednesday and Saturday Markets will continue to be an option for shoppers to have access to fresh produce in an open setting to maximize physical distancing. All markets will continue offering CalFresh/EBT for low income shoppers to access healthy produce. The market's continuation of service will also minimize economic impacts to participating small farmers, so they remain able to serve the market community in the months and years to come.
There have been some changes to market operations to make it as safe as possible for shoppers. The major change is to access. Shoppers will only be allowed to enter the market at two locations: 2nd Street and Arizona Avenue, and 3rd Court (alley east of Third Street Promenade) and Arizona Avenue.
Second Court and the Promenade entry points have been blocked off.
Also, all weekend markets have been consolidated into one Saturday market in Downtown Santa Monica.
If you are coming to the Santa Monica Farmers Markets please follow these tips:
- Maintain SAFE PHYSICAL DISTANCING of 6 feet or more.
- Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and water.
- Send one household member.
- Shop and leave - no socializing.
- Do not touch produce unless you intend to buy it.
- Please DO NOT visit the Santa Monica Farmers Markets if you are experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness, including fever and cough.

Now a twice-weekly event covering four city blocks, the Downtown Santa Monica Farmers' Market is acclaimed as the place to go for the highest quality and largest selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables in Southern California.
More than 100 times each year, home cooks and award-winning chefs gather to sample and purchase exotic citrus fruits, eye-popping greens, freshly picked berries and more varieties of tomatoes, tubers, squash and mushrooms than you probably knew existed. Sixty percent of the market's vendors operate certified organic farms.
This friendly, family-oriented community gathering also features artisan cheeses, natural meats, baked goods, fresh seafood, and other products and events for food lovers.
The vibrant open-air shopping experience, the unsurpassed selection and the opportunity to interact with food producers are just a few of the reasons why close to a million shoppers a year visit the Downtown Santa Monica Farmers' Market — and rarely leave with an empty stomach!
People sure do love those Farmers' Market Instagram pics #SMFMS and you might be able to take a selfie with a celebrity chef. Most farmers prefer cash over credit or debit cards.
