Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. (DTSM) is dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of all who live and work and play in our community, as we all do our part to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
DTSM staff is working closely with the City of Santa Monica and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) to monitor this rapidly evolving situation and will share important information with all of our stakeholders in the coming days and weeks. We hope that you will continue to visit this page for the latest resources and information on how you can support local businesses during this time.
Downtown Santa Monica and Third Street Promenade will remain open to the public unless directed otherwise by the City of Santa Monica. Feel free to take a walk and enjoy a breath of fresh air in our parks and on our sidewalks. Many of our district's restaurants remain open for pick up and delivery and a number of retail stores continue to operate on Third Street Promenade and in Santa Monica Place. We ask that you practice social distancing, maintaining 6-feet of space between you and others while taking a stroll, grabbing food to go or making a purchase.
Our ambassadors have enhanced cleaning efforts along the Third Street Promenade and in public restrooms, as well as other highly-trafficked areas of the district. We are communicating regularly with our Ambassador Program partner, Block by Block, to ensure our dedicated ambassadors are able to perform their duties safely.
DTSM has postponed all planned public events, as well as internal board of directors and committee meetings through March.
