The Downtown Enhanced Maintenance Program provides custodial services for parking structures, public restrooms, alleyways, and sidewalks. Services include trash collection, cleaning and restocking restrooms, graffiti and flyer removal, sidewalk power-washing, and reporting of structural issues.
Cleaning Services: Circulate the district with a rolling can containing supplies and tools to take care of the following tasks:
• Removing litter, cups, containers, cigarette butts and other debris on sidewalks, street gutters, and alleys.
• Remove graffiti, posters, and stickers from light posts, trash cans, news boxes and other public infrastructure.
• Pull isolated weeds from tree wells, cracks in the sidewalks, and vacant lots.
• Damp wipe and straighten up horizontal surfaces, such as trash can lids, news boxes and other infrastructure.
• Clean and sanitize popular touch points like light poles, water fountains, benches, and restrooms.
Observe and Report: Watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other similar identifiers to the Safety Ambassadors.
Hospitality and Customer Service: Actively acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting or identify visitors in order to provide directions, information, or recommendations.
Reporting: Provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and log all daily engagements in our mobile data-tracking app.
Professionalism: Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and overall DTSM standards of expected professionalism.
