Downtown Santa Monica Hospitality Ambassadors are the friendly, familiar faces of the district, welcoming visitors and assisting them with a host of issues ranging from business recommendations to locating lost items.
Hospitality and Customer Service: Actively acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting or identify visitors in order to provide assistance, including:
• Provide information and recommendations to visitors
• Give directions to local businesses and transportation options
• Escort visitors and employees safely to and from vehicles and businesses upon request
• Help visitors fnd vehicles in parking structures
• Aid visitors with vehicle trouble
• Work with the Santa Monica Police Department to locate lost items
Observe and Report: Watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other similar identifiers to the Safety Ambassadors.
Stakeholder Relations: Responsible for making a specified number of visits to district businesses to share information and make professional contact on behalf of DTSM.
Special Event Assistance: Assist DTSM with setup and removal of Promenade events and activities.
Reporting: Provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and log all daily engagements in our mobile data-tracking app.
Professionalism: Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and overall DTSM standards of expected professionalism.
Hospitality Ambassadors are available 6:30am-12:30am, daily.
