Binge on Theatre this October – better than television any day!

“She’s a dynamo! Jassem’s vivid descriptions of her life are beautifully drawn but she also goes through some tough times. Her personal story is dramatic, funny and moving!” raves the San Francisco Fringe Review. Is it a boy…or is it a girl? It is definitely a Como-ette in the 1957 world of The Perry Como Show live television and what it is like for a ten-year-old. This child has taken the reins and travels into Manhattan three times a week to take her voice, personality, drama and dance classes…all the while auditioning for everything possible. Her mother…of course…was a Rockette and still wants her 15 seconds of fame…if only through her daughter. At the age of 11, the little star gets ill and struggles with the complications and drugs of the time. There is a secret desire lurking deep in this little banana curled, crinoline skirted starlet and that is to be…what else…a BOY. And it’s all told through comedy, tap dance, and mime.
