One traumatic episode as a teenager can alter the way life flows – a two-night only solo show – and it’s FREE as part of the BFF Binge Free Festival of Theatre – your new BFF – the second annual official Santa Monica Fringe Festival. Written and performed by noted actress-producer-writer Ruchika Mandhyan, a graduate of California Institute of the Arts. Ruchika enjoys creating compelling character-driven content. One of her scripts involving immigration was a finalist at the Sundance Mahindra Institute. She was a producer on The Old Son, a film based on a short story by sci-fi novelist Norman Spinrad. Ruchika wrote the literary adaptation of the multicultural book One Amazing Thing by best-selling Indian-American novelist Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. As an actress, she staged the one-woman play C.I.C: Contradictory Identity Contradictions in Edinburgh has done several shorts and currently plays a police psychologist in the SAG-AFTRA web series Detective Adam Sera.
