Special Events: GLOW Santa Monica
Saturday, September 25, 2010 Sundown to 3:00am
Downtown Santa Monica
Two years have passed since GLOW debuted as one of the biggest art events in the US. The biennial celebration returns this fall, with exciting new artwork commissioned specifically for one of California's great public spaces: Santa Monica's beach. Residents are invited to connect with their inner art lover at this one-of-a-kind event. Twenty interactive art installations will be set on the beach and in the Downtown area, and restaurants and retail stores will be open late... all for one night only. Come down and bask in the GLOW!
Over 200,000 people attended the first GLOW in 2008. 2010 will bring a different kind of GLOW. Hours will be shortened, and attendees will be encouraged to carpool and use sustainable transit. As the event approaches, please check back here for updates on street closures, ways to contact us about the event, links to special offers from local businesses, and other info important to residents.
It is our goal to make GLOW 2010 a positively enlightening art experience for all.
